About

I was born in 1957 in Normandy, where I spent my childhood, and my need for nature has never left me.
It was in 1992, at a studio in the United States, that I began practicing watercolor and drawing. On returning to France, I converted to oil painting while continuing drawing in various workshops.
Painting is a necessity for me. It is a way to escape, to find a space of peace.
Nature is my primary source of inspiration — working from the subject, from personal photographs, or from the memory of a moment. These are views, moments that move me and that I need to express through color. My aim is to render the atmosphere felt through a personal interpretation that remains figurative.
Working with color is an integral part of my joy in painting. It is by making my own mixtures that I create my color palette. This gives me greater freedom. I play with forms and colors to arrive at a balanced composition.
